Voici une lettre d'escuses publiée sur le site de l'EMAU suites aux remontées faites pas les archers et leurs encadrements adressée au présidents des Fédérations Européennes et aux membres du conseil de l'EMAU :

Dear President,
After the European Outdoor Championship organized in Athens by the Hellenic Federation, I wish, on behalf of EMAU, to apologize for the badly Championship.
As you most probably know, some athletes sent a detailed report on the Championship in which they complained about many issues such as transportation, food, scheduling, ceremonies, etc., but the more serious situation is that no doping control was done. This was a clear violation of the FITA Rule 5.7.1.6 and 5.7.1.5, which clearly state that Doping control is mandatory at these events.
Now we must find a solution to give again credibility to the Championship and to face some justified criticism from FITA , WADA and IOC. I’ll inform you soonest about our solution to solve the problem.
In meantime I would like to inform you that in future, EMAU Council will be more careful in studying bid documents and assigning EMAU events to Federations.
I hope we can now continue again to further promote enthusiastically our sport in Europe and the bad experience of Athens might soon be put ad acta.

"Vous n'êtes pas sans savoir, certains athlètes ont envoyés des rapports détaillés sur ce Championnat pour exprimer leurs mécontentements sur divers sujets comme les transferts, la nourriture, le programme, les cérémonies, ... mais la situation la plus préoccupante c'est qu'aucun controle anti-dopage n'a été effectué"
Grace aux podiums  de nos chers athlètes  nous n'oublierons pas Athène, sinon, c'est un championnat à vite oublier pour tout le reste
